Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage at security checkpoints using X-ray machines and metal detectors
- Monitor security equipment and respond to alarms or suspicious activities
- Enforce airport security regulations and TSA guidelines
- Conduct random searches and pat-downs as required
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport staff during emergencies
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents and daily activities
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in using security screening equipment
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
