Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct thorough physical searches of persons and property as required by security protocols
- Monitor security checkpoints to detect and prevent prohibited items from entering secure areas
- Operate and maintain security screening equipment in accordance with TSA standards
- Enforce TSA regulations while providing courteous and professional customer service to travelers
- Document security incidents and report suspicious activities to supervisory personnel
- Participate in continuous training programs to stay updated on security procedures and technology
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment with diverse populations
- Basic computer proficiency for operating screening equipment
