Responsibilities
- Oversee official city records, ordinances, and meeting documentation with flawless accuracy
- Coordinate City Council agendas, minutes, and public hearings while ensuring compliance with open meeting laws
- Manage municipal elections, voter registration, and certification processes
- Serve as custodian for city contracts, resolutions, and historical archives
- Lead public records requests response protocols within legal timeframes
- Implement digital records management systems for enhanced accessibility
- Train staff on municipal procedures and record-keeping best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years municipal government or public sector experience
- Expert knowledge of Oklahoma open records laws and municipal governance
- Advanced proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Exceptional written communication and public presentation skills
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation strongly preferred
- Proven experience managing election processes and voter databases
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license
