Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance and accessibility of official city records, ordinances, and minutes
- Coordinate municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Manage public meeting logistics and documentation
- Administer public records requests in compliance with Texas laws
- Lead records management systems and digital archives
- Provide clerical support to City Council and advisory boards
- Ensure compliance with open meeting laws and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field
- 3+ years municipal government or records management experience
- Texas Notary Public certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expert knowledge of Texas Public Information Act and Open Meetings Act
- Advanced proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional written communication and documentation skills
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with competing priorities
