Responsibilities
- Preserve and manage official municipal records, ordinances, and meeting minutes with meticulous accuracy
- Coordinate public records requests while ensuring compliance with open records laws
- Oversee election processes including ballot preparation and polling place logistics
- Administer city council agendas, hearings, and public meeting documentation
- Serve as custodian of the city seal and official documents
- Facilitate public inquiries regarding municipal procedures and records
- Implement records retention policies and digital archiving systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in municipal government records management
- Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, SharePoint)
- Deep knowledge of Texas open records laws and election procedures
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience managing public records requests and FOIA compliance
- Valid Texas driver's license
