Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official city records, ordinances, and minutes
- Process public records requests in compliance with Tennessee Open Records Act
- Coordinate and support City Council meetings and public hearings
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Maintain legislative history and document archives
- Administer oaths of office and public notary services
- Liaise with city departments and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal or government administrative experience
- Expertise in records management and document preservation
- Thorough knowledge of Tennessee open records laws
- Proficiency with municipal software (e.g., CivicPlus, Granicus)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
