Responsibilities
- Maintain and certify official city records, ordinances, and resolutions
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and supporting documents for city council meetings
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Oversee record retention and archival systems for historical preservation
- Coordinate with legal department on legislative compliance matters
- Serve as liaison between city departments and elected officials
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in municipal government or records management
- Expert knowledge of Missouri Sunshine Law and municipal record-keeping protocols
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Missouri driver's license
- Professional certification in public records management preferred
