Responsibilities
- Oversee all official municipal records, ordinances, and resolutions with meticulous documentation
- Manage public meetings agenda preparation, minute-taking, and compliance with open records laws
- Administer oaths of office and maintain official city seals and certifications
- Coordinate voter registration and election support processes
- Serve as primary liaison between citizens, elected officials, and city departments
- Implement digital records management systems for improved accessibility
- Ensure compliance with state statutes and municipal charter requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years municipal government or records management experience
- Expertise in Tennessee open records laws and Sunshine Act regulations
- Advanced proficiency in records management software and document imaging systems
- Strong project management skills with ability to handle sensitive/confidential information
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- Professional certification (e.g., CRM, CRMMP) highly desirable
