Responsibilities
- Oversee official city records, ordinances, and council minutes with meticulous attention to detail
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with Arizona public records laws
- Coordinate and document City Council meetings, hearings, and public forums
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Lead records management systems and digital archival initiatives
- Serve as the primary liaison between the public and city governance bodies
- Develop and implement records retention policies in alignment with state regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in municipal records management or public sector administration
- Expertise in Arizona public records laws (A.R.S. Title 38) and parliamentary procedure
- Proficiency with document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated public speaking experience
- Valid Arizona driver's license and ability to attend evening/weekend meetings
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Municipal Clerk) preferred
