Responsibilities
- Review and adjudicate Social Security benefit applications using federal regulations and precedent
- Communicate with claimants, attorneys, and medical professionals to gather supporting documentation
- Enter and maintain case data in federal systems with 99% accuracy
- Explain complex eligibility requirements to claimants via written correspondence and phone calls
- Adhere to strict deadlines and quality standards mandated by SSA policy
- Participate in ongoing training on federal laws and procedural updates
Qualifications
- US citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data entry systems
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and communicate clearly
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Pass federal background investigation
- Willingness to work flexible hours including occasional overtime
