- Oversee all official city records, including ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes
- Manage municipal elections, voter registration, and public records requests
- Administer city council meetings and ensure compliance with open-meeting laws
- Coordinate municipal publications, public notices, and legal advertisements
- Maintain city seal, contracts, and official documentation with precision
- Lead records management system modernization initiatives
- Serve as primary liaison between citizens and municipal governance processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years municipal government or public sector experience
- Expert knowledge of Illinois election laws and open records statutes
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Exceptional written communication and documentation skills
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality
