Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes with meticulous accuracy
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration, and ballot initiatives in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Administer oaths of office and public records requests while ensuring legal compliance
- Coordinate public notices, bid postings, and legislative tracking for the City Council
- Lead records management systems, including digital archiving and retention protocols
- Provide legislative support to City Council members and prepare official documents
- Manage the city's seal, contracts, and public filings
- Serve as the clerk for the City Council and related committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of California Election Code, Brown Act, and Public Records Act
- Advanced proficiency in records management software and document automation systems
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with public-facing experience
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with competing priorities
- Valid California Driver's License
