Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes with meticulous attention to detail
- Coordinate public records requests and ensure timely, accurate responses
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Prepare and certify legal documents for city council and board meetings
- Maintain compliance with state and federal record-keeping regulations
- Oversee the city's records management system and digital archives
- Provide administrative support to the City Council and mayor's office
- Train staff on records management protocols and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in municipal government or records management
- Proficiency in records management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Missouri Sunshine Law and public records regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Valid Missouri driver's license
