Responsibilities
- Oversee all city records management, document retention, and public information requests
- Administer municipal elections, voter registration, and ballot initiatives
- Prepare and maintain official city council minutes, ordinances, and resolutions
- Manage city clerk office operations and supervise administrative staff
- Ensure compliance with state election laws and public record regulations
- Coordinate public notices, bid postings, and legislative tracking systems
- Serve as clerk to the city council and various advisory boards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal government or public sector experience
- California Election Official certification preferred
- Advanced knowledge of public records laws (Government Code 6250-6276)
- Proficiency in records management systems and election software
- Excellent written communication and legislative drafting skills
- California driver's license and clean driving record
- Experience supervising administrative teams
