Responsibilities
- Oversee all city records management, including ordinances, resolutions, and official documents
- Manage voter registration and election coordination for municipal elections
- Lead digital transformation of public records systems to enhance accessibility
- Administer business licensing and permit processing for city operations
- Serve as the official custodian of the City Seal and municipal records
- Develop community outreach programs to improve civic engagement
- Ensure compliance with Illinois Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Expertise in FOIA compliance and public records legislation
- Advanced proficiency in digital document management systems
- Strong leadership experience with cross-functional teams
- Illinois Notary Public certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
