You'll manage critical records, ensure compliance with open-meeting laws, and support the City Council while serving as a trusted advisor to community members and officials. Responsibilities
- Administer all official city records, ordinances, and resolutions with meticulous accuracy
- Oversee election processes and voter registration in compliance with state/federal regulations
- Prepare and distribute City Council meeting agendas, minutes, and official documentation
- Manage public records requests and ensure transparency in government operations
- Provide administrative support to the City Council and mayoral office
- Supervise records management systems and document preservation protocols
- Advise on municipal code compliance and legislative procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal government experience with records management focus
- Advanced knowledge of California Government Code and Brown Act requirements
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation strongly preferred
- Expertise in public records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
