Responsibilities
- Oversee official municipal records, archives, and public document management systems
- Coordinate city council meetings, agendas, and minute preparation with precision
- Administer oaths of office, public records requests, and municipal elections
- Develop and implement digital transformation strategies for municipal records
- Serve as primary liaison between citizens, departments, and elected officials
- Ensure compliance with state statutes and municipal governance best practices
- Lead public outreach programs enhancing civic participation and transparency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal government or public sector experience
- Advanced certification in Municipal Clerk (CMC) or equivalent preferred
- Expertise in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Proficient in parliamentary procedure and Robert's Rules of Order
- Exceptional written communication and public presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience with FOIA compliance and public records management
- Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
