Responsibilities
- Oversee secure storage, retrieval, and digitization of official municipal records
- Manage city elections, voter registration, and ballot certification processes
- Prepare and maintain legislative agendas, minutes, and public notices
- Administer oaths, commissions, and ceremonial city documents
- Ensure compliance with California Election Code and Government Code requirements
- Lead modernization of records management systems and public access portals
- Coordinate with supervisors, commissioners, and legal counsel on procedural matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in municipal records management or elections administration
- California Election Official Certification or equivalent credentials
- Expert knowledge of California Government Code, Brown Act, and public records laws
- Advanced proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
