Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official city records, ordinances, and legislative actions
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration, and campaign finance compliance
- Administer oaths of office for public officials and notary services
- Process public records requests in accordance with California Public Records Act
- Coordinate with Board of Supervisors on legislative documentation and procedures
- Lead digital records management system modernization initiatives
- Ensure compliance with state election laws and municipal codes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years in government records management or municipal clerk roles
- California Notary Public certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Expert knowledge of California Election Code and Public Records Act
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Proven experience managing public records requests and compliance audits
- Strong project management skills with experience implementing digital transformation
