Responsibilities
- Manage official municipal records, ordinances, resolutions, and legislative documentation with precision
- Oversee election administration, voter registration, and polling place coordination
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and official records for City Council and commission meetings
- Administer public records requests ensuring compliance with California Public Records Act
- Manage municipal code updates and legislative tracking systems
- Serve as filing officer for legal documents and official notices
- Provide administrative support to City Council and advisory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government or public sector experience
- California Municipal Clerk certification or eligibility to obtain within 12 months
- Expert knowledge of California Public Records Act and Brown Act requirements
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional written communication and public speaking abilities
- Proven experience with election administration processes
- Valid California driver's license
