Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain official city records, including ordinances, resolutions, and minutes of council meetings.
- Assist the public with requests for public records, birth certificates, and business licenses.
- Manage the correspondence, agenda packets, and logistics for City Council meetings.
- Oversee the maintenance of the City’s filing system and archival processes.
- Ensure compliance with state and local transparency laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; an Associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in office administration, public records management, or municipal government.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with records management software.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
