Responsibilities
- Maintain and secure official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Oversee city elections administration and voter registration processes
- Coordinate with city council, mayor's office, and department heads
- Prepare agendas, resolutions, and official documentation
- Suppose administrative support for city boards and commissions
- Implement records retention policies and digital archiving systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years municipal government or records management experience
- Proficiency in records management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Deep knowledge of Tennessee open records laws and municipal procedures
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity
- Tennessee Notary Public certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days)
