Responsibilities
- Record Management: Manage and maintain accurate public records, including meeting minutes, ordinances, and resolutions.
- Customer Service: Provide high-quality service to citizens, businesses, and visitors at the front counter and via phone/email.
- Administrative Support: Prepare, proofread, and distribute official correspondence and departmental reports.
- Data Entry: Perform precise data entry tasks into various government databases and filing systems.
- Meeting Support: Assist in the preparation and logistics of City Council and Commission meetings.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and maintain office supplies and equipment inventory.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; an Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Public Records is a plus.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation and drug screening.
- License: Valid California Driver’s License is preferred.
