Responsibilities
- Maintain official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes with meticulous attention to detail
- Administer municipal elections including voter registration and ballot preparation
- Process public records requests while ensuring compliance with Kentucky Open Records Act
- Manage city licenses, permits, and business registrations
- Coordinate with city council and mayoral offices on legislative documentation
- Oversee document preservation and archival systems
- Act as custodian of the official city seal
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years municipal government or records management experience
- Kentucky Notary Public commission (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- Deep knowledge of Kentucky Revised Statutes Chapter 61A (Election Laws)
- Exceptional written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
