Job Summary
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and professional City Clerk to support our municipal operations. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for the public, managing records, processing applications, and ensuring our office runs efficiently. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in government operations with the added benefit of a weekly pay schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, including ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes.
- Process incoming public inquiries, applications, and requests for information via phone, email, and in person.
- Perform data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy, maintaining updated digital and physical databases.
- Prepare agendas, packets, and correspondence for City Council and committee meetings.
- Assist in the issuance of permits, licenses, and other official documents.
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment, including filing and document retrieval.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in an administrative, clerical, or government setting is preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
