Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, ordinances, and council minutes with meticulous attention to detail
- Oversee public records requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses per Arizona public records laws
- Coordinate municipal elections, including ballot preparation and polling place logistics
- Administer oaths of office and maintain official city seal documentation
- Serve as clerk for city council meetings, including agenda preparation and minute-taking
- Manage public counter services, providing direct assistance to citizens and stakeholders
- Develop and maintain digital record-keeping systems for efficient document retrieval
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in municipal government or public records management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- Knowledge of Arizona public records laws and municipal governance structures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
