Responsibilities
- Process and maintain official city records, permits, and documentation with 100% accuracy
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents via phone, email, and in-person inquiries
- Coordinate with multiple city departments to ensure seamless information flow
- Manage confidential data using secure digital filing systems and physical archives
- Prepare routine reports and correspondence for departmental leadership
- Assist with public record requests according to Illinois Freedom of Information Act guidelines
- Support election administration processes during municipal voting cycles
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years administrative/clerical experience in government setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in data handling
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
