Responsibilities
- Record Management: Organize, index, and maintain accurate files and records in both digital and physical formats for City departments.
- Public Assistance: Greet visitors and answer incoming phone calls with a professional demeanor, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff or departments.
- Administrative Support: Process applications, permits, and forms with high attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
- Communication: Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and official documents as directed by supervisors.
- Inventory Control: Assist in tracking office supplies and equipment to ensure departmental needs are met efficiently.
- Compliance: Ensure all filing and reporting procedures adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a clerical, administrative, or customer service role is preferred but not always mandatory for entry-level government positions.
