Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet and assist visitors, residents, and employees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Record Management: Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and correspondence; maintain accurate filing systems for public records.
- Data Entry: Input data into city databases and computer systems with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Information Referral: Answer telephones and direct inquiries to the appropriate department or personnel.
- Office Support: Perform general clerical duties, including copying, scanning, and preparing documents.
- Inventory Control: Assist in the inventory and ordering of office supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous clerical or customer service experience is preferred but not mandatory for the training program.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Organization: Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
