Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume communications, including answering phones and responding to resident inquiries regarding city services.
- Process and maintain accurate records of permits, applications, and official correspondence using both digital and physical filing systems.
- Assist the public at the service counter and over the phone with a high level of professionalism and customer service.
- Perform data entry tasks to update internal databases and generate reports for department supervisors.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and internal memos in a timely manner.
- Assist in the coordination of office events and community outreach activities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) required.
- Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
- Valid driver's license is a plus.
