Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with a variety of DMV transactions, including license renewals, vehicle registration, and title transfers.
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails promptly, resolving inquiries or routing them to the appropriate department.
- Process payments accurately using various methods (cash, check, card) and maintain accurate cash drawers.
- Verify documentation for compliance with state regulations and ensure all data is entered correctly into the state database.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby environment for all visitors.
- Assist with administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and data entry as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or a government office setting is preferred.
- Strong computer literacy and the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on courtesy and patience.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
