Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce institutional protocols during overnight hours
- Conduct security checks and headcounts to maintain facility safety
- Respond to emergencies and de-escalate conflicts using crisis intervention techniques
- Process new arrivals and maintain accurate inmate records
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical incidents
- Operate security systems including surveillance equipment and access controls
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Ability to pass background investigation and psychological evaluation
- Basic First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills and crisis management abilities
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- No felony convictions and clean employment history
