Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations
- Conduct regular security checks and headcounts
- Respond to emergencies and incidents per protocol
- Document daily logs and incident reports
- Screen visitors and incoming packages
- Assist in inmate rehabilitation programs
- Operate security systems and communication devices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and physical exam
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work rotating night shifts
- TDCJ certification within 180 days of hire
- Must be U.S. citizen or legal resident
