Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations 24/7
- Conduct routine patrols and headcounts to ensure security protocols
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and medical incidents
- Prepare detailed incident and activity reports
- Screen visitors and control access points
- Implement rehabilitation programs and behavioral interventions
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Florida Class D Security Officer License
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Physical fitness to handle restraining and emergency response
- Basic computer literacy for report documentation
- Experience in security, military, or law enforcement preferred
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- CPR/First Aid certification (training provided)
