Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and maintain security protocols during overnight hours
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and surveillance of correctional facilities
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation and intervention techniques
- Document daily logs, incident reports, and security breaches
- Coordinate with law enforcement and medical teams during critical situations
- Enforce institutional rules and ensure compliance with state regulations
- Participate in specialized training programs for tactical operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and physical fitness assessment
- Certified in CPR/First Aid or willing to obtain within 90 days
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis management skills
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and overtime as needed
