Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise inmate activities within secure facilities
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and security inspections
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and medical situations
- Enforce facility rules and maintain order through de-escalation techniques
- Document incidents, observations, and shift reports with precision
- Operate security systems including CCTV, alarms, and access controls
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Nevada Peace Officer Standards Training (POST) certification
- Valid Nevada Class C driver's license
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and polygraph examination
- Physical fitness to meet tactical response requirements
- Experience with conflict resolution and crisis management
