Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility rules during overnight hours
- Conduct regular security checks and perimeter patrols
- Respond to emergencies and incidents per department protocols
- Document daily activities and incident reports accurately
- Screen visitors and packages according to security procedures
- Maintain order during meal times, recreation, and transport operations
- Collaborate with day shift staff for seamless transition of duties
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and physical fitness test
- Basic computer literacy and report writing skills
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation abilities
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Previous security or corrections experience preferred
- Must be US citizen or legal resident
