Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls and dispatch appropriate personnel
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software
- Maintain accurate logs of all communications and activities
- Provide critical information to officers and emergency responders
- Utilize mapping systems to track unit locations and incident statuses
- Remain calm during high-pressure situations and prioritize communications
- Participate in continuous training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to type 40+ WPM (typing test required)
- Pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- U.S. citizenship and Ohio residency required
