Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations during night hours
- Conduct regular security patrols and headcounts to maintain order
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and medical situations with appropriate protocols
- Document daily operations, incidents, and inmate behavior in detailed reports
- Screen visitors and incoming mail/packages for contraband
- Assist in emergency response drills and crisis management scenarios
- Maintain communication with day shift staff for operational continuity
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen
- Ability to work rotating nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong conflict resolution and observation skills
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing
- Physical stamina to handle emergency situations and stand for extended periods
