Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility rules to maintain order and security
- Conduct regular security rounds and headcounts using digital surveillance systems
- Respond to emergencies, incidents, and medical situations with de-escalation techniques
- Document daily operations, incident reports, and inmate behavior in digital logs
- Screen visitors, mail, and packages following strict protocols
- Collaborate with day-shift teams for seamless transition and continuity of care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required (college degree preferred)
- Must pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Valid Ohio Driver's License with clean driving record
- Basic CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure overnight environments
- Strong conflict resolution skills and crisis management experience
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance
