Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations to maintain security
- Conduct regular patrols and headcounts to ensure compliance with protocols
- Respond to emergencies and incidents using de-escalation techniques
- Document incidents and maintain accurate daily logs and reports
- Screen visitors and packages according to departmental policies
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during transport and emergency operations
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean record
- Pass background check, drug screen, and psychological evaluation
- Ability to obtain Colorado Peace Officer certification within 6 months
- Physical fitness to pass annual fitness standards
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
