Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and maintain secure facility operations during weekend shifts
- Conduct regular security rounds and headcounts to ensure compliance with protocols
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Prepare detailed incident and activity reports using digital systems
- Transport inmates between facilities and court appearances
- Enforce facility rules and maintain order within housing units
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must be 21+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) certification preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
- Experience in security, military, or law enforcement preferred
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
