Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulations to ensure safety and security
- Conduct routine inspections of living quarters, work areas, and common spaces
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and medical incidents with appropriate protocols
- Document incidents, inmate behavior, and facility operations in detailed reports
- Transport inmates between facilities and court appearances as scheduled
- Collaborate with law enforcement and healthcare professionals during shift transitions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and documentation
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays as required
- Previous law enforcement or security experience preferred
