Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility security protocols during weekend shifts
- Conduct regular patrols and headcounts to ensure compliance with regulations
- Respond to emergencies and incidents following established procedures
- Document all observations, incidents, and inmate interactions in digital systems
- Screen visitors and packages according to security guidelines
- Participate in emergency response drills and training exercises
- Maintain accurate logs and reports for shift handovers
- Collaborate with law enforcement and medical staff as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid Arizona Driver's License at time of hire
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background check
- Ability to obtain AZ POST Peace Officer certification
- Physical fitness to meet academy requirements (running, push-ups, etc.)
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon)
- Basic computer literacy for report writing
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
