Responsibilities
- Develop and implement evidence-based public health programs targeting disease prevention and health promotion
- Conduct community health assessments and epidemiological surveillance to identify emerging health trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute health education campaigns
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with federal/state health regulations
- Build strategic partnerships with local healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations
- Analyze health data and prepare comprehensive reports for policy recommendations
- Respond to public health emergencies and coordinate crisis mitigation efforts
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of professional public health program implementation experience
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
- Experience with health data analysis using tools like SPSS or SAS
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of Title VI and other civil rights compliance requirements
