Key Duties:
Responsibilities
- Process and file legal documents, including deeds, liens, and judgments, with high accuracy.
- Maintain and update the county’s public records database and physical archives.
- Assist the public, attorneys, and court officials with inquiries regarding case status and filing procedures.
- Prepare and issue official court documents, certificates, and transcripts.
- Operate standard office equipment, including copiers, scanners, and filing systems.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of sensitive legal and personal information at all times.
- Assist in the organization of court dockets and scheduling of hearings.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or legal background preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors in data entry and documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Basic understanding of legal terminology and filing procedures is a plus.
- Clean criminal background check required.
