Responsibilities
- Record Management: Accurately file, index, and maintain court records, case files, and legal documents in accordance with established procedures.
- Customer Service: Assist the public, attorneys, and court personnel with inquiries regarding case status, filing procedures, and court schedules.
- Data Entry: Process new cases, update information in the court management system, and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Office Operations: Manage incoming and outgoing mail, operate office equipment (copiers, scanners, printers), and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Calendar Management: Assist in scheduling court hearings and managing the docket for assigned judges or departments.
- Compliance: Adhere to all court rules, regulations, and security protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a legal or office environment is highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to manage high volumes of paperwork with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals.
