Responsibilities
- Respond to a high-volume of inquiries via phone, email, and in-person at the service counter.
- Assist applicants with the eligibility determination for various public assistance programs.
- Update and maintain accurate client records in state databases with high data integrity standards.
- Resolve complex customer issues and escalate them to senior staff when necessary.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to streamline service delivery processes.
- Stay informed on policy changes and communicate them clearly to the public.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer navigation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex policies simply.
- Ability to type at least 35 WPM with a high degree of accuracy.
- Experience in a customer service or administrative setting is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work a standard full-time schedule.
