We are seeking a dedicated and professional Customer Service Representative to join the Public Works team. In this role, you will serve as the face of the city for citizens during our critical weekend operations. You will handle inquiries regarding permits, road maintenance, and municipal services with efficiency and empathy.

Responsibilities
- Manage High-Volume Inquiries: Answer and route incoming phone calls and emails from citizens regarding city services, road conditions, and permits on Saturday and Sunday.
- Service Delivery: Assist customers in person at the front desk or via digital platforms, ensuring accurate information is provided regarding construction projects and utility services.
- Record Keeping: Maintain precise and up-to-date records of all transactions, complaints, and requests in the department's CRM system.
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot basic service issues and escalate complex problems to senior supervisors or technical departments promptly.
- Community Outreach: Represent the City of Oklahoma City in a positive light, fostering a welcoming environment for all visitors and residents.
- Administrative Support: Process applications for various municipal permits and licenses during business hours on weekends.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, reception, or administrative support within a government or public sector environment.
- Availability: Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays, including holidays, as required by departmental coverage.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with database management software (CRM experience is a plus).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Background: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
