Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats across federal networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Develop and implement security protocols to prevent cyber intrusions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain security compliance
- Document security incidents and prepare comprehensive incident reports
- Stay current with evolving threat landscapes and mitigation strategies
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to security awareness programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of cybersecurity experience with federal systems
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and FISMA compliance standards
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network architecture
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance (Top Secret)
